Economic Development Planning
Cowlitz-Lewis Economic Development
District Board (EDD)
This body of local elected and staff officials
and economic development representatives guides policy-level
discussion of economic issues
for the two-county region. The group establishes the framework
for the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS plan).
Activities are funded by a federal grant with a local match.
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee (CEDS)
The CEDS committee produces the Comprehensive Economic Development
Strategy every five years, as required by the U.S. Department
of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA). Participation
in this planning process keeps communities in our region eligible
for a variety of funding sources that can be used to further
economic
development activities.
